Project harmony
This is a critical corner stone for the success of any project whether large or small. Philip Chun believes that this is mission critical and that working well with a diverse set of personalities and disciplines will enhance the delivery of the product. It is important to take time in the first instance to understand the culture of the various participants and consultants, not to mention the culture of the client and the country or jurisdiction where the project is proposed.
Assessment of engineering documentation

In our experience, the design of the building relies greatly on many disciplines including, structural, mechanical, and electrical to name a few. Therefore, we maintain that these designs should also be assessed for compliance with the various codes at an appropriate level using the applicable standards. While we would not peer review the full design compliance in terms of efficacy, brief, and micro engineering design, these engineering services will be reviewed and considered by Philip Chun for elementary compliance. In the case where fire engineering services are provided, this assessment will form a significant part of the fire engineering strategy.

Appreciation of design

Ascertaining the fundamental basics of the design, design intent and the architectural vision is also critical to the success of a project. Philip Chun efforts to invest more time in the early stages of the design to ensure that appropriate specific assessment advice is available to the architects, engineers and other designers. This assists each of the various team members in different and unique ways. First, it allows architects to be made aware of significant design considerations and minimize the number of modifications due to the application of specific code requirements. Second, cost planners have a better understanding of the design parameters and hence, more realistically cost the project and track its progress with a higher degree of accuracy. This benefits all parties involved in the process.
