Philip Chun takes a “team-based” approach when coordinating projects with state and local government developmental agencies. These agencies generally include, but are not limited to, building departments, fire departments, planning/zoning agencies, and inspections. They are commonly referred to as Authorities Having Jurisdiction. At Philip Chun, we view these agencies as a part of the design team and seek out their guidance and participation during all phases of design development. Because of the long-standing relationships Philip Chun has built with many of these agencies nationwide, we sometimes have greater access to information and quicker response times to questions, requests for meetings, and resolution of issues.
